Stuff Christians Like

The ability to chuckle at ourselves is always pretty darn valuable.  And it's when we CAN'T chuckle at ourselves that we usually get ourselves in trouble.  So here's a blog you have to check out that will probably give you a few laughs.  At least it did when Amanda and I read through some of these yesterday... 

It's called Stuff Christians Like. 

Not sure if this idea came from Stuff White People Like, but it's pretty funny, creative, and even a bit scary/sad.  Here are a few:

Back Home.

Arrived back home this morning from Q in NYC.   Had a great day with my family along with a nice nap this afternoon.  NYC is an absolutely amazing city but it's good to be home!  (I'll be posting some photos from around the city too...)

Had a blast at Q and I'll look forward to sharing some of my personal thoughts in the next few days.  I'll also be posting the rest of my notes from the sessions.  Thanks for your patience but I REALLY needed a blogging break as my eyeballs were starting to protrude out of their sockets while at the same time having hallucinations that I was on the set of I Am Legend. 

Ok, maybe not.  But I sure am tired...  Even skipped out being at The Orchard tonight so I could stay home and rest. 

Back to family.

Numbering Posts

I'm giving up on numbering posts for now.  I started each one out with a number after the "Q".  I'm behind on blogging some sessions and have no idea what number I'm on.

Food Network Hater, Author, Chef, Rebel, No Reservation Host and all around great guy to watch on TV - Anthony Bourdain is now blogging on the Travel Channel website. 

You either love or hate Bourdain.  I happen to really dig 'em.

A Window to The World

It still sometimes blows my mind that I can sit in front of my computer and talk to friends on the other side of the world. 

One of those friends is Jim Larson.  I've written about Jim before.  He and his wife Judy are missionaries who have devoted their lives to rescuing women from the sex trade industry in Thailand.  As most of you know, I spent some time there with the Larsons earlier this year and my heart was revolutionized by what I saw and experienced. 

I'm so thankful for their friendship and for the window that it provides my life with to look into to see, experience, and learn about the pain and suffering that is happening in their part of the world - RIGHT NOW. 

It's **** painful to look into that window, but so, so necessary for me.

Jim's has made his blog one of those windows.  If you aren't looking through it, you need to.

Even if it makes you horribly uncomfortable.
