Like everyone else, I am so shocked and saddened by last night's shootings at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. So far, seven fatalities have been reported - including the shooter.
For those of you who don't know, NIU is about 30 miles west of Aurora. There are a handful of students from The Orchard who attend the school, which makes this tragedy hit home for us in a unique way.
Would you take a moment after reading this and join with me in praying for the students, faculty, and loved ones of those impacted? It means a lot.... Thank you.
I am joining you in prayer for those effected by this horrible tragedy. You too are in my prayers.

It's terrible to see people experience trauma like this. I can't imagine what pain must be circulating in the campuses through these circumstances. I pray earnestly for comfort and healing in the hearts of those effected by the shootings.
"But he said to me 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness' therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness so that Christ's power may rest on me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." -2 Cor. 12:9-10
