Planning to be at Q next week in Atlanta? Leave a comment or shoot an email. I'll be there.
What is Q?
Q is a gathering for leaders in the church to become informed and exposed to future-culture. It is a space where select leaders can create, dialogue, collaborate, innovate, serve and ideate around the important topics shaping the church’s future role in culture. In an intense, fifty-hour experience designed to unveil the cultural context in which the Gospel must go forward, Q will expose participants to over twenty presenters on myriad topics. Church leaders will be inundated with information, perspective and expert thoughts that will drive conversation with their peers about the ramifications for the church.
Presenters include: Rob Bell (Mars Hill), Andy Stanley (Northpoint), Kevin Kelly (Wired Magazine), Donald Miller (author), Susan Grant (EVP of CNN), Jeff Johnson (BET), Majora Carter (Sustainable South Bronx), T Bone Burnett (Producer and Musician), David Batstone (Founding Editor, Business 2.0), and more....
Each speaker will be forced to share their big ideas in 20 minutes, so you can stay engaged in their thoughts, hear only their most thought-out concepts, and learn from myriad thought leaders in a shorter timeframe. When a story or thought is truly compelling, you will have the opportunity to seek out the presenter and dialogue in a smaller collaborative setting or Q&A.
Why?
Christianity has gained more conversions in America over the last two hundred years than any other faith. Simultaneously, Christianity has steadily lost cultural influence despite its rapid conversion growth.
It is time for leaders in the church to wrestle with the complexities of embodying the Gospel in leading-edge culture. By doing so, this has the potential to become a rebirthing place for the church to once again be a culture-shaping institution.
will you remember to check and see if there is going to be audio available? I sure wish I could go but as you know my schedule says no.
Have you read Breaking the Missional Code by Stetzer.
See ya buddy!

DO NOT miss T Bone Burnett's presentation. I was seriously tempted to fork out the conference registration fee just to attend his talk.

Scott
I've been reading your blog for about a year. I'm one of those that's lurked and never commented. Crazy as it is this is my first blog comment. Aren't you special? It's been interesting to follow your blog as I served with my father for a season through a transition. I'd love to hear more about your journey.
I'm at a hotel in ATL now and I'll be at the Q. Hope to meet you.
