I was thinking about some of the places I found myself this past year and made a list:
New York City
Miami
Des Moines
Peoria, IL
Oklahoma City
Washington D.C.
St. Louis
Las Vegas
Delaware
Atlanta
Granger, IN
Orlando
Springfield, IL
No foreign travel this year. Unless Oklahoma City counts? HA.
How about you? Where did 2008 take you?

If I only count places more than 500 miles away, I went to Thailand, Alabama, and Texas.
I had real Thai food.
I had real fried chicken.
I had real biscuits and gravy.
I win.

Atlanta (twice)
Chicago (twice)
The Island of Malta
London, England
Gatwick, England
Canada
Montana
Florida (twice)
Philadelphia (three times)
Huntsville, AL (where I ran my first marathon)
Birmingham, AL

Spokane, Wa
Greenville, NC
Nashville, TN (many times)
All over the great states of TN and KY
And the question this begs to ask: Where will I go this year? I have some big plans.

I went 30 miles up the road to Fresno. Does that count?
It's strange, I'm from England and it always seemed weird to me that Americans don't travel much outside of the USA and when I arrived here 3 years ago I was astounded to learn that a lot of people I met had never even been out of California.
We have been here 3 years now and I have been to Las Vegas, Kansas City and Hawaii in that time. I have not left the country and have been out of the state for no more than 3 weeks in total in 3 years.
What is happening to me? I used to be a world traveller!
